International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA): Conference

The International Association of Young Lawyers ("AIJA") will hold its May 2012 Conference from 3rd till 5th May 2012 in Hamburg. AIJA is a young dynamic and international association of lawyers and in-house counsels under 45, focused on legal skills but also equally importantly on contributing to the broader professional development of all its members from around the world to share views and experience and enhance their professional skills in a globalized world.

The conference concentrates on seminars in "Trade, Trouble & Transportation: How port handling can influence your supply chain" and "Energy Projects in the 21st century" and contains also a working session on arbitration (see the attached program as well as the welcome address of the first major of Hamburg in English or French).

On the panel of the working session on arbitration the Hamburg Problemsolvers Dr. Nicoletta Kröger (DABELSTEIN & PASSEHL) will speak about the German Maritime Arbitration Association and Prof. Dr. Eckart Brödermann (BRÖDERMANN & JAHN) will speak about the Chinese European Arbitration Centre (CEAC). A further Problemsolver, Dr. Justus Jansen, is member of the Organising Committee of the AIJA May 2012 Conference and will speak about energy supply agreements.
